The Park’s crystal clear offshore waters are excellent for swimming in the summer and surfing in the winter. Encompassing two beautiful white sand beaches, Mahai'ula to the south, and Ka'elehuluhulu to the north, the Park is definitely worth the drive down. A shoreline hike along the historic 4 ½- mile coastal trail between the two beaches is hot and dry but very rewarding. Look for the Sign about 2 mi north of Keahole-Kona International Airport, off Hwy. 19.
