If you are lucky enough to visit the Big Island from December to
April, then you might be able to catch a glimpse of one or more of
the thousands of hump-back whales that migrate to the warm Hawaiian
waters. Though you may be able to catch glimpses on land, the best
way to view this natural phenomenon is on a boat.
You may be able
to view not only the humpback up close, but also giant sperm whales,
pilot whates, false killer whales, beaked whales, and melon-headed
whales. Keep your eyes wide open!
