Located less then a mile away from University of Hawaii at Hilo, Hawaii Community College was founded in 1941 and acted as a single unit with University of Hawaii until the early 1990’s. Now, it operates as an independent college, one of seven community colleges in the entire state. The College provides a great way to save money on continuing education. With over 30 degree, certificate, and non-degree programs, Hawaii Community College offers it 2,000 students a personal environment in which to develop skills necessary to enter into this complicated world.
