Coconut Island is a small island located just offshore from the Naniloa Volcanoes Resort and Liliukolani Park. It is an excellent location for picnics, people-watching, fishing, swimming, and enjoying the beautiful views of Hilo Bay and  Mauna Kea. It is a perfect place to bring children and is good for swimming and snorkeling. Coconut Island is used for musical and cultural events throughout the year.
