Hamakua Hotspots

Waipio on Horseback, the original (over 25 years) horseback tour of the valley, has narrated tours, explaining the history, legends and facts of life in the valley. The path meanders through lush jungle trails along the hillside; through streams and rivers; and on to ancient Hawaiian villages.

Tour Times: 2-1/2 to 3 hours, two rides per day are offered (9:30 am and 1:30 pm)
Operation: Monday - Saturday
Age requirements: Children under twelve need to be with a responsible adult or are experienced riders.
